CAMEO BUCEPHALUS G23404 [“Bucky”]
White, 2004 Purebred Gelding [Hallelujah/Cameo Louizianna by Cedardell Zanzibar] 15 hands tall.
Never before offered – our daughter is away at university and he was going to waste here. Bucky is a beautiful show-quality gelding broken in several years ago but not really worked until this year. He has completed 2 x 40 km trainers, the 120 km mini-marathon at Imbil at Easter, and 1 x 80 km Ride. He will hopefully be an open endurance horse by November, with two Rides to go, ridden mostly by a Heavyweight [105 kgs]. He is sturdy and strong, clean-legged, with good strong even hooves. He is also very typey with a lovely dished head and big eyes. He has a friendly nature, likes people, and could do anything in the right hands. He has a super trot and a fast walk, and really covers the ground. $5000 |

CAMEO MAZQUERADE G23499 [“Maxie”]
Grey 2004 Purebred Gelding [Cedardell Zanzibar/Wellworth Dreamtime by Morocco] 15 hands.
This is a very athletic, strong gelding who loves to be in front of the field! Thankfully he is open now and can really stretch out. He has had a steady, careful two-year campaign which has resulted in 7 x 80 km Rides, 1 x 100 km Ride at Tenterfield, and he is off to the 2011 State Champs at Jericho to do his first 160 km. He has never vetted out and is absolutely sound with great heartrates and recoveries. He is FEI registered, and placed 4th in the CEI 80 km 1* event at Toorbul on the last day of the Endurance Festival. He was runner-up in the best-conditioned. He is ridden regularly by a Middleweight rider, and trained by a Heavyweight. He is trained in steep hills and motors up those steep slopes. Also has a very fast walk. He is very easy to manage and very sensible to handle. We think he would make a very competitive Quilty and international mount for someone with ability. In the meantime we’re enjoying the fun of having a really competitive horse!
PS 3rd Lightweight in 2011 Queensland State Championships and 5th over the line!! $P0A |

NIAMH [pronounced “Neev”]
Chestnut 2004 Purebred Mare [Silver Mistral by Magic Carpet/Charmarian Nikita by Chip Chase Desert Wind] 15 hands.
Niamh comes from a family of top international endurance horses. Her half-brothers are SHARDELL SHAHBARNAH GOLDEN [UAE], SHARDELL SHANTARNAH GOLDEN [UAE] and SHARDELL SHARANA GOLDEN [UAE] who won the 2010 Queensland State Championships 120 km and has since won 2 x 120 km Rides in the Emirates. Niamh is very strongly-conformed with great bone and legs and hard, even feet. She has been broken-in for some time but only lightly-worked until now and is going well. She completed her first 40 km trainer at Widgee ridden by a Heavyweight [105 kgs] with ease. She is a very dominant mare and utterly fearless, but easy to manage. $4000 |

CAMEO WARPAINT [“the Milky Bar Kid”]
Light grey 2005 Purebred Gelding [Cedardell Zanzibar/Cameo Moonsylph by Royalund Sparkling Silver].
14.3 hands and still maturing. This is the full-brother to our very beautiful and much admired mare CAMEO GRAZIELLA who did her first 80 km with a Heavyweight rider in 2010, and is being prepared by international rider Angela Hawks this year. The family is very strong and bold, and great on the hills, with naturally low heartrates and good recoveries. He is a full-brother also to CAMEO ROZE RED [Toft Endurance] and CAMEO ZANADU [UAE]. His ¾ brothers include CAMEO ZAIRE [UAE] the best-conditioned horse in the WEG in Dubai in 1998 and still placing in 2007 [a 5th]. Also CAMEO MOONSTRUCK [UAE] and CAMEO MOONLIGHTING [UAE], CAMEO ZAMBESI MOON [Toft Endurance] and CAMEO MARITZKA [UAE]. He has only just been placed in work but is already showing his natural ability. A competitive rider would have a lot of fun with him! $4000 |

CAMEO GRAZIELLA [“Gratzie”]
Grey Purebred Mare 2004 [Cedardell Zanzibar/Cameo Moonsylph by Royalund Sparkling Silver] 15 hands.
Graziella is a classical Arabian mare with a stunning dished head and wonderfully compact strong body. She is also very athletic with exceptional natural ability. No-one can pass her on the hills! She has been legged up over several years and her record stands at 3 x 80 km Rides with a Heavyweight and a Lightweight. She is FEI registered and was unlucky to miss the Toorbul Endurance Festival 80 km 1* as she injured herself slightly in her yard there. She was fully recovered in no time and ready to go on to greater things, being ridden by Angela Hawks who is preparing her now.
Gratzie is the older full-sister to Cameo Warpaint [above] and a full sister to CAMEO ROZE RED [Toft Endurance], and CAMEO ZANADU [UAE]. She is also a ¾ sister to CAMEO MOONSTRUCK [UAE], CAMEO MOONLIGHTING [UAE], CAMEO ZAIRE [UAE], CAMEO ZAMBESI MOON [Toft Endurance] and CAMEO MARITZKA [UAE]. She carries the blood of all 3 of our stallions – Chip Chase Desert Wind, Royalund Sparkling Silver and Cedardell Zanzibar – and is from the family of the Silver Moonlight* mare Electra Moon. She may look like a porcelain princess, but she’s as tough as old boots! She will be at the 2011 South Australian Quilty to hopefully do her first 160 km Ride. $POA – phone Angela Hawks on 0448 828 289 |

EMBLAZON [“Laddie”]
Grey Purebred stallion 2004 [Cedardell Zanzibar/Cameo Primulaa by Hanorr from The Cameo Magnoliaa] 14.3 hands.
This is a great opportunity for a breeder [and rider], as Emblazon is the only entire son of Zanzibar in Australia and Zanzibar is 26 years of age now. The best part is that he is also from our great endurance family of The Cameo Magnoliaa [Chip Chase Desert Wind/Deirdre by Grand Royal*] who produced CAMEO LIONHEART [UAE], CAMEO AZALEAA [UAE/Spain], and CAMEO ZINNIAA who was Horse of the Year in the Emirates and top Australian-bred horse in the FEI rankings in 2007. She also produced CAMEO APASSIONATAA who won a Quilty buckle in 2010, all by Zanzibar. By Royalund Sparkling Silver she had the mare CAMEO VIRGINIAA [UAE]. Laddie’s dam Cameo Primulaa is one of the 2 Magnoliaa daughters we retained for our breeding programme and she has founded her own family of distinction including endurance horses CAMEO HORIZONS [UAE], CAMEO PETULAA [Toft Endurance] and CAMEO PEREGRINE [Emblazon’s full-brother] who had 8 successful Rides in 2009/10 from 80 to 1OO km. Primulaa’s sire Hanorr [an oldie now in his 30’s] has been producing excellent endurance horses for Jill McCartney of Drumlin Arabians in Central Queensland from the Chip Chase Desert Wind mare, Cameo Moonminx. Drumlin Moonspinner [WA], Drumlin Moonshine [UAE] and Drumlin Mystic Moon [Quilty buckle 2010] are among them.
Newly-broken and being lightly worked, Laddie will go out to his first 40 km late this year, ready for a great 2012 season. He has a cool, calm temperament and has taken to saddle training really well. He could also be a halter and saddle show proposition as he has excellent conformation and a stunning dished head. He has two offspring on the ground, CAMEO LEOPOLD [bay colt] and CAMEO CINDERELLA [grey filly]. We are retaining his younger brother CAMEO PERICLEZ and also have a full-sister CAMEO PALESTINAA. $POA |
Completing the 2005 foal crop we have:
CAMEO RHODEZIA [“Desmond”]
[Cameo Zhivago by Cedardell Zanzibar/Cameo Moonminx by Chip Chase Desert Wind]. Newly-broken in. $3000 |
CAMEO PYGMALION [“Rocky”]
[Cedardell Zanzibar/Cameo Freya by Chip Chase Desert Wind from a beautiful Samiri mare]. Newly broken-in. $3000 |
We also have some “little” mares, around 14.2 hands, who are sitting in our paddocks doing nothing, and would make super mounts for competent kids or lightweights, or broodmares, as they come from some of our best families. They are unbroken but well-handled, wormed, feet trimmed, etc.
CAMEO CHRIZTABEL F28442 Grey 2003 [Cedardell Zanzibar/Cameo Somerset by Somerled]
CAMEO GRASSHOPPER F28966 Grey 2006 [Hallelujah/Cameo Somertime by Somerled]
CAMEO SCORPIO F28750 Grey 2005 [Hallelujah/Cameo Somertime by Somerled]
CAMEO CYMBELINE F28050 Grey 2004 [Cameo Zhivago [NZ]/Cameo Witchery by Tafadin]
We have priced these young mares at just $1500 each. |
POTENTIAL SHOW FILLY
CAMEO SOMERZ MOON [Pending]
Purebred chestnut filly with four white stockings, blonde mane and tail. She is beautiful and typey with attitude to burn – a lovely dished head with minimal white markings, huge dark eyes, long neck with superb throat, smooth body, straight legs. She is both a daughter and grand-daughter of Cedardell Zanzibar, and is descended from a legendary beauty, the Morocco mare, Moroccan Moon. She should mature over 15 hands and is being prepared for showing now. |
 |
NOTE: Although it has long been our policy to only offer our youngstock in the year they turn 5, when they are broken-in and ready to go, we do welcome inquiries for younger brothers and sisters who are unbroken, and most of our Pure and Anglo Arabians are as suitable for showing as they are for endurance!
